The Growth Cycle The
starting point of anyone’s journey of faith at Community is to
identify with Christ. You might see Him in the life of believers who
reach out to you as a neighbor. Perhaps through some deeds of kindness
done to you in the name of Christ, you respond to the music of the good
news. Having heard the music, you then hear the words of the Gospel, and you develop real faith. You begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together and to shape your worldview around an understanding of Jesus and his call for you. The process involves connecting with the family of God, as you move from being a neighbor to becoming a full member of the community. There, you find a place of belonging and of trust. Soon, you join that collective witness of the community, and you influence other people to identify with Christ in you. You go around the circle again, this time taking someone with you. This is a lifelong process, as individuals work together to be a collective witness to the Way, the Truth and the Life. |
