"I
was born in 1957 in Lafayette, Indiana, and spent my growing up years in Madeira, a suburb of
Cincinnati. I did not grow up in a Christian home, but my grandmother
starting taking my sister and me to Sunday School at Madeira Church of
Christ with her on weekends. As a young teen, I became convicted of my sins,
and committed my life to Christ in 1970. Since that time, there have been
several turning points for me, and God has patiently set me on a path to be
a true worshiper of His majesty.
"Ellen and I were church youth group
sweethearts, and we married after college. We are now parents to eight children, and as a family we purpose to concentrate on hospitality-based
ministry.
"I work as a professor and chair of the Field of Music & Worship at
Cincinnati Christian University, and started a music publishing company
that provides free downloads of music, called
CByond Music, Inc.. For information

I was born on the eve of Halloween in
Cincinnati, 1946, six minutes before my look alike brother. Growing up,
my family claimed to be Christian, but I saw little evidence of that
except for my grandmother and aunt. They encouraged us to attend church
and at an early age I was baptized.
I had a period of time that I was
totally in rebellion, not even a desire for what God has in store for
me. The only thing I cared about was Sports! But God sent me a
beautiful and wonderful wife. Through her obedience of going to church
with the children, I decided to start attending again and to have a
relationship with God. I got baptized at Fellowship Christian Church in
1987, but it wasn't until I was slain in the spirit at Hartwell Church
of God in the mid 90's that my whole attitude turned around. I then
began to grow in Christ and committed myself to Him.
By trade, I am a teacher at Oak
Hills High School. Ellen and I have three lovely
children, Kelly (Nick), James (Kim), and Karyn (Brian). They are married
and have children of their own, we have 5 grandchildren, and they all
know the love of the Lord. PRAISE GOD!

I was born
in Cincinnati in 1959, the youngest of five children. My parents brought our
family up with a sincere love of God and in the shadow of the Baptist church
(literally and figuratively). I "went forward" numerous times during my childhood and
adolescence. Mostly I think I was responding to the ubiquitous altar
call question, "If you were to die tonight do you know for sure that you’d
be with God in heaven?" Fear of hell may be a place where some of us need to
start, but by the time I was in high school I was finding out that it was no
place for me to live a life.
Fortunately, there
have been people in my life, true seekers and lovers of Jesus, people whose
faith was life-changing, bearing the genuine marks of love and joy and
peace, people who were living and not just hoping that when thy died they’d
go to heaven.
I moved out of my
family home after my first year of college at Northern Kentucky University
where I was studying photography. I moved into a warehouse loft in
Covington, Kentucky with some fellow students, none of whom had a
conservative protestant upbringing like mine, and all of whom I feel
terribly grateful to know and call friends to this day. During this period
it became my desire to, "know whom I have believed", and that is my prayer
still.
