What We Believe

THREE CLAIMS

At this church, we start with three basic claims:

Jesus is our Lord 

       Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Corinthians 12:3

 

The Bible is God’s True Word

       2 Timothy 3:16,17; Psalm 119:9,11; Matthew 5:17,18

 

God is Active Today

        John 5:17; Hebrews 1:1-2; John 3:16;  2 Peter 3:9;

        John 16:13-14

EIGHT BELIEFS

Because of these claims, we hold to eight beliefs:

God Created Us

         Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 139:1-16; Acts 17:24-28 

 

We Have All Sinned

         Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; James 2:10

 

Jesus is God

         John 1:1-4; Colossians 1:15-18; Colossians 2:9

 

Jesus Died on the Cross in our Place

         Romans 6:23; Romans 5:6-11; Hebrews 10:1-10

 

Jesus was Raised from the Dead

           Acts 10:40; Romans 6:5; Romans 8:11; John 11:25-26

 

By God’s Grace We are Saved through Faith

         Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24; Romans 8:1-4

 

Believers confess Jesus as Lord and are Baptized into Him

         Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Titus 3:4-7

 

All People will be Judged by God

         Matthew 25: 31-46: Revelation 20:11-15
